Spokane - August 20, 2013 - The Spokane Chiefs Annual Fall Camp beings Thursday, as 65 players will be in town to show their skill and make an impact on the Chiefs' hockey staff after a summer away.

All camp invitees will be divided into three teams, competing with and against each other during ice sessions and scrimmages across four days. Camp will culminate with the annual Red/White Game on Sunday at 1 p.m.

"We look forward to watching everyone and seeing how they've grown," Chiefs Director of Player Personnel Chris Moulton said.

Over 20 players return from last season's squad, headlined by the three 20-year-olds Mitch Holmberg, Mike Aviani and Eric Williams.

Holmberg, a forward from Sherwood Park, AB, is the team's leading returning scorer after an 80 point (39 goals, 41 assists) campaign in 2012-13. Aviani, a forward from North Vancouver, BC, led the 2012-13 Chiefs in plus/minus while scoring 68 points himself, 30 of those coming as goals. Williams, a goaltender from Langley, BC, returns after an impressive 2013 WHL Playoffs, during which he posted a .900 Save Percentage.

"It should be a competitive camp amongst veterans. Many young players will push veterans as they form a new leadership group."

Headlining the new faces around camp are the Chiefs' two 2013 CHL Import Draft selections, Adam Hascic and Dominic Zwerger. Hascic, from Trencin, Slovakia, was selected 46th overall while Zwerger, from Dornbirn, Austria, was selected 106th overall. Both players are expected to contribute as forwards on the 2013-14 roster.

"We're excited about both imports. They will add skill to our team," Moulton continued. "This will be one of our more competitive camps in years. There will be lots of new faces with a chance to play this season."

All ice sessions will be free and open to the public. Fans are asked to enter through the Chiefs' office on the southeast corner of the Spokane Arena.
