Owen Sound - September 11, 2013 - The Owen Sound Attack, in partnership with Hanover Minor Hockey is proud to announce that Sunday’s Exhibition Game at the P&H Centre against the Erie Otters netted Hanover Minor Hockey $11,200.00 after expenses. Sunday afternoon was the first time the Attack organization played a game at the P&H Centre after holding practices there for the past two years to benefit Minor Hockey.

“Hanover and area is an exceptional market for us. We have a lot of passionate fans in that area and it means a lot to our organization that we were accepted with such open arms.”, stated Attack Director of Marketing and Public Relations, Brent Fisher. “The entire organizing committee from Hanover Minor Hockey and the Town of Hanover deserves a pat on the back. It was a first class event.”

The Exhibition Game in Hanover marks one of the biggest fundraisers ever for Hanover Minor Hockey.

"Hanover Minor Hockey is very appreciative of the support we received from area hockey fans, who made our game a sell-out. We cannot express our gratitude and thanks enough to both the Owen Sound Attack and Erie Otters, for agreeing to come to Hanover for a game and for allowing Hanover Minor Hockey to receive the proceeds of the game.”, said organizing committee chair, Steve Fitzsimmons. “It also takes an army of volunteers to run an event such as this. To all of those people, a heart-felt thank you for your help.”

“Our thanks to the Owen Sound Attack ownership group, coaching staff and business operations staff, in particular the Attack front office staff, who provided us with tremendous support and help in making things run smoothly. We are extremely grateful for the opportunity that was provided to us.", concluded Fitzsimmons.

The proceeds generated from the event will be used to provide significant support to young hockey players, in terms of training and clinics, ice time and some equipment needs that Hanover Minor Hockey has.
