Hurricanes send Leverton to Raiders in exchange for Meyer
The Lethbridge Hurricanes sent forward Craig Leverton to the Prince Albert Raiders, in exchange for winger Spencer Meyer on Tuesday morning, as both sides prepare for the start of the 2013-14 Western Hockey League season on Friday night.

Lethbridge - September 17, 2013 - The Lethbridge Hurricanes announced Tuesday that they have traded 18-year-old Forward Craig Leverton to the Prince Albert Raiders in exchange for 17-year-old Left Winger Spencer Meyer.

Leverton, who is from Debden, Saskatchewan was the Hurricanes 2nd round (25th overall) pick in the 2010 Bantam Draft.

In 103 career WHL games with the Hurricanes he registered 29 points (12G, 17A) with 67 PIM’s.

Lethbridge Hurricanes General Manager Brad Robson calls Craig “a dedicated worker, who has a positive attitude and works hard every shift. Craig is also very community oriented and takes his role as a hockey player and member of the community seriously. We thank Craig for all he’s done in his time with the Hurricanes and we wish him success in his new role with the Raiders.”
